Tags are used to label contacts based on behavior, interest, source, or customer journey.
Tags are more flexible than lists. A contact can have multiple tags to describe different actions or interests.
You can access tags from:
WordPress Dashboard → NextCRM → Contacts → Tags
or:
NextCRM → Settings → Tags
When to Use Tags
Use tags when you want to mark contacts with specific details.
Example tags:
- New Lead
- VIP Customer
- Product Interested
- Purchased
- Webinar Attendee
- Inactive Subscriber
- Abandoned Checkout
- High Engagement
Tags help you segment contacts more accurately.
Create a New Tag
To create a new tag:
- Go to NextCRM → Contacts → Tags.
- Click Add New Tag.
- Enter the tag name.
- Add a short description if needed.
- Save the tag.
Once created, the tag can be assigned to contacts manually or through automation.
Uncategorized Tags
NextCRM may show an Uncategorized Tags item.
This helps identify contacts that are not assigned to any tag.
You can use this to clean up your contact database and organize contacts more clearly.
