Email Tags are dynamic placeholders used inside campaigns, templates, and sequences.
They allow you to insert dynamic information into emails without manually typing the same data every time.
You can access email tags from:
WordPress Dashboard → NextCRM → Campaigns → Email Tags
What Email Tags Are Used For
Email tags help you personalize and automate email content.
For example, instead of writing a fixed name or website URL, you can use a tag that automatically pulls the correct value.
Example tags:
{{siteurl}}
{{business_name}}
{{business_email}}
{{business_phone}}
{{unsubscribe_link}}
{{subscriber_link}}
When the email is sent, NextCRM replaces the tag with the correct value.
Email Tags Table Overview
The Email Tags page shows all available tags in a table.
Common columns include:
- Tag Identifier
- Tag Data
- Type
- Option Key
- Created At
- Action
This table helps you see which tags are available and what data each tag is connected to.
Tag Identifier
The Tag Identifier is the placeholder used inside an email.
Example:
{{business_name}}
You can place this tag inside your email content. When the email is sent, the tag will be replaced with the saved business name.
Tag Data
The Tag Data column shows the value connected to the tag.
For example, a website tag may show your site URL.
Type
The Type field defines what kind of tag it is.
Common types may include:
- Options
- Custom
- Text
Use the correct type based on where the tag value comes from.
Add New Email Tag
To create a new email tag:
- Go to NextCRM → Campaigns → Email Tags.
- Click Add New.
- Enter the Tag Identifier.
- Select the Type.
- Enter the Tag Value.
- Click Add Tag.
Example Custom Email Tag
Example:
Tag Identifier: {{admin_email}}
Type: Text
Tag Value: [email protected]
You can then use {{admin_email}} inside email templates or campaigns.
Best Practices for Email Tags
Use simple and clear tag names.
Good examples:
{{business_name}}
{{support_email}}
{{offer_link}}
{{subscriber_name}}
Avoid confusing names like:
{{tag1}}
{{data_new}}
{{abc}}
Clear tag names make templates easier to edit later.
