Manage API Keys

The Manage API Keys section allows you to create and manage API keys for accessing NextCRM endpoints.

You can access it from:

NextCRM → Settings → Webhook & API → Create & Manage → Manage API

What API Keys Are Used For

API keys are used to authorize requests to NextCRM API endpoints.

You may need an API key when:

  • Connecting an external app
  • Sending contact data from another system
  • Getting contact information
  • Deleting contact data
  • Submitting form data through API
  • Creating custom integrations

Keep API keys private and do not share them publicly.

Manage API Keys Table

The Manage API Keys table includes columns such as:

  • API Key
  • Name
  • Created
  • Status
  • Action

Each row represents one API key.

Create New API Key

To create a new API key:

  1. Go to NextCRM → Settings → Webhook & API.
  2. Open Create & Manage.
  3. Select Manage API.
  4. Click Create New API Key.
  5. Enter a name for the API key.
  6. Save the key.

After creating the key, use it only in trusted applications or secure server-side integrations.

API Key Name

The name helps you identify where the API key is used.

Example names:

Website Integration
Mobile App
External CRM Sync
Landing Page API
Custom Contact Import

Use clear names so you can manage keys easily later.

API Key Status

The status shows whether the API key is active.

An active API key can be used for API requests.

If you no longer use an API key, deactivate or delete it for security.
