Form Types & Display Rules

NextCRM supports different form types and display rules.

The form type controls how the form behaves. The display rule controls where the form should appear.

From the form creation popup, you can select:

  • General
  • Popup

A General Form is a normal form that can be embedded on a page, post, section, or selected element.

Use General Form for:

  • Contact pages
  • Newsletter signup sections
  • Landing pages

A Popup Form is used when you want the form to appear as a popup.

Use Popup Form for:

Popup forms are useful when you want to collect contacts without placing a fixed form inside the page content.

Show on Specific Pages

Use this option if the form should appear only on selected pages.

Example:

This is useful when a form is related to a specific page goal.

Show on Specific Post Types

Use this option if the form should appear on a selected post type.

Example:

  • List
  • Tags

Contact Status

The Contact Status field controls the default status for contacts created from the form.

Contact Type

The Contact Type field controls the type assigned to contacts created from the form.

Example types:

Contact
Lead
Customer
Client
Partner
Other

For most forms, Contact or Lead is a good choice.

Assign List

Use the List field to assign form submissions to one or more lists.

Example lists:

Course Inquiries
Popup Subscribers

This keeps form contacts organized automatically.

Assign Tags

Use the Tags field to apply tags when someone submits the form.
