Automation triggers define when a workflow should start.

NextCRM includes triggers from WordPress, NextCRM, WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, forms, SureCart, and popular LMS plugins.

You can select triggers while creating a new automation.


WordPress Triggers

WordPress triggers allow you to start automations based on WordPress user or post activity.

Available WordPress triggers may include:

  • Create WP User
  • Update User

  • Update Post Meta

Create WP User

This trigger runs when a WordPress user is created.

It can be used to:

  • Create a matching CRM contact
  • Send a welcome email
  • Assign a list or tag
  • Start onboarding automation

Update User

This trigger runs when an existing WordPress user is updated.

Use this when you want to react to profile changes or user data updates.


Delete WP User

This trigger runs when a WordPress user is deleted.

It can be used to update or remove related CRM data.


Change User Role

This trigger runs when a user role changes.

Example use cases:

  • Send a different email after a user becomes a customer
  • Add a tag when a user becomes a subscriber
  • Start a new workflow when user access changes

Post Triggers

Post triggers can run when a post is created, updated, deleted, or when post meta changes.

These are useful for content-based workflows or custom post type actions.

NextCRM triggers run based on contact activity inside NextCRM.

Delete Contact

Add List

This trigger runs when a contact is added to a list.

Example:

If a contact is added to the Newsletter Subscribers list, NextCRM can send a welcome campaign automatically.


Remove List

This trigger runs when a contact is removed from a list.

You can use this to stop a related funnel or update contact data.


Add Tag

This trigger runs when a tag is added to a contact.

Example:

If a contact receives the High Intent tag, you can send a follow-up email or notify your sales team.


Remove Tag

This trigger runs when a tag is removed from a contact.

This is useful when contact behavior changes and they should no longer stay in a specific workflow.


Change Status

This trigger runs when a contact status changes.

Example statuses may include:
